I think part of the reason I’m blown away is that it really dawned on me that Bill made his fortune not because he was so brilliant (he was a high-school dropout) but rather because he spit in the eye of “conventional wisdom.”

Fay was always there to help out her neighbors and her community.
You never heard her complain or speak badly about another person.

She gave much of herself and her time. She was very un-selfish. I don’t know
what it was like to have ever have met Mother Teresa but I would imagine it was much
like meeting Fay.

For some reason I always wanted to spell Fay’s name with and e … Faye. She was kind
enough to remind me in her own special way that her name did not have and e in it.

 I also remember a time and one she’d be happy to tell you about. When I locked her in the Annex.
Fay was working away in the Annex and I went in to say hello. When I left, I by habit secured the
lock on the outside of the door. Thus, locking her in! Poor Fay she had no way out. There was no
phone in the Annex and no way to communicate with anyone except to open the small jalousie
windows in the door. So Fay did just that she opened the window and started to yell at passer bys.
Fortunately, someone heard her and she was able to escape. Needless to say  I never heard the
end of that story and Fay was sure to tell everyone about it. I felt horrible when I found out.
But later it became a happy joke that she’d try to rub in.

 Fay I will miss you! A lot of people will miss you. I can only hope that I leave a legacy like the one
you’ve left. Fay was dedicated to her husband Ted. I can’t remember the exact number of years
that her and Ted were married but I’m sure it was at least 65 years. I know that Fay cared dearly about
Ted and probably thought more about him than she did herself toward the end.

Fay will always hold a special place in my heart and she will always be someone I will never forget. 

In the wake of Fays passing I’ve had to do some reflecting on my life. It’s interesting how that
happens. One life moves on impacts another in such a way that we must examine our own life.
In examining mine I know that I’d like to be more like Fay. I’d like to be able to give all that she gave.
I’d like to smile no matter how troubling times might be. I’d like to be there for my spouse when she
needs me most. I’d like to be the example that some day someone somewhere will write a short story
about me and how I was a positive impact on their lives. I could go on and on but I think you get the
point. Our lives must be lived to it’s fullest! We must be the Fay that makes the
world a great place to live. 

I thank you Fay for the lessons you have taught me and for the happiness you have brought me.
I am fortunate that our paths have crossed. God Bless You Fay Wilk!

So today, I’m going to make an effort to be a better blogger and to
keep the site more up to date.

From time to time we all get off track for one reason or another.
Sometimes life has it’s own course it wants to take us on.
