Thanksgiving in the USA – Every Day!

Today many of us are celebrating Thanksgiving. It’s a great day to take it easy and be with friends and family. It’s also a time for us to reflect on the many things we are grateful for.
Not to mention pigging out on some great food. :)

Thanksgiving for many of us here in the United States Of America, give thanks for the discovery of this great nation. It’s a time to be thankful for our freedom and to really comprehend what that freedom means to each and everyone of us and for future generations. The USA is not perfect and we’ve made many mistakes along the way. To expect perfection as with anything is a set-up for disaster. The USA is the greatest nation in the world and people from all around the world flock to the USA for the freedom and opportunity it offers.

Lately though, I see so many people and politicians forgetting what this great nation is about and what we are all blessed with and that’s FREEDOM! Many great people before us have shed their blood to have what we all have today. Too often, I believe most of us fail to remember the true cost of the freedom we experience today and the ultimate price that has been paid for our freedom and the lifestyle we live. Generations are now being taught that the USA is not great and that we are a country without a heart and that to be a Patriot is wrong. The idea that the Pledge of Allegiance is no longer being allowed in schools is heart-braking to me. When I said that pledge it meant something to me, it meant that I was part of something great and I felt good being part of it. It instilled in me the virtue of patriotism and country. For me it united us as one and helped all become one when we gave the pledge. All differences were set aside in that very moment when the words were repeated out loud. We begin one voice, one class, one school, one state and one nation under God.

My gratitude today is extended in many different directions for I have so much to be grateful for as I believe all us do as Americans. Even the poorest of the USA are richer than those in other countries. Today I express my gratitude to those who have come before me to allow me to celebrate this day and to do so in freedom. For if it were not for those mighty souls who have come before me and made the ultimate sacrifice I would not have the freedom and the other gratitude’s in my life. So today I pay tribute to those men and women who loved this country enough to give there lives for it so that we could all be free today!

I encourage each America to become involved in keeping this country great. We don’t always have to agree on everything but what we do have to agree is that FREEDOM is paramount to this great nation. That above all we must remain free never to be enslaved by political powers that believe they know what’s best for us. Those in Washington D.C. today in my humble opinion have no clue what is best for the American people. Because they don’t live like ordinary Americans. Let it be known that those who serve in Washington DC are accountable to us and we as American’s must stand up and hold them accountable.
We must be grateful for all of our past the good and the not so good. We must be proud to be American’s and never bow before another country. Not because we are better than any other but because of the price that was paid for the great nation and for the exact reason why so many people want to live here. Because we represent FREEDOM!

Have you considered the freedom you have today? Are you grateful for it every day? This country will only continue to remain great as long as the people remember. Over the last several generations we have not been taught to remember. We have been taught political correctness. I don’t know where this political correctness came from and I do understand compassion and consideration, this it what I was taught. I would venture to guess where this “political correctness” came from and it is my speculation that it’s come from the Political machine and special interest who want to keep this great nation down. Today and every day if we can be thankful and remember what we stand for as a nation we will continue to be grateful as a nation.
